Using the counter

This counter is a catalogue. You may read it, link to it and quote short passages from it with attribution. You may not copy the card texts wholesale into another catalogue, because writing them is most of the work that happens here.

The cards, the shelf texts and the recipe cards are ours. The product photographs and the product names belong to the people who make and sell the products, and the six notes on the front page belong to the bakers who wrote them.

Prices, availability and accuracy

Every price and every availability chip is the value we last read from the listing. Both move, sometimes within a day, and the order page of the partner store is the only authoritative source for either. We correct cards when we notice drift and when somebody tells us about it, and we do not warrant that any number here is current at the moment you read it.

Carton contents are taken from the listing and from the product packaging. Where a seller says a mix may vary, we print that, because a bundle assembled by a seller is not a factory carton and the contents genuinely do change between shipments.

Baking, safety and age marking

The age markings and supervision notes we print are the ones on the cartons. Our recipe cards are what we have worked out at our own counter and they are offered as experience rather than instruction — the instructions that matter are the ones inside the refill pack and on the oven itself.

A heated chamber and a hot pan are a heated chamber and a hot pan. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, supervise the bake, and treat anything we write about timing as a starting point to adjust rather than a rule to follow blindly.

Limits

This counter is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it is complete, that every listing we show is still live, or that a product will suit a particular child. Nothing here is advice about a purchase you have to make, and the decision at the order window is yours.
